Foxit Software has reported 1H26 revenue of RMB471mn (+11.44% YoY), an attributable NP of RMB14.0mn (vs -RMB4.88mn in 1H25, turning profitable YoY), and a recurring NP of -RMB5.06mn (vs -RMB22.4mn in 1H25, with losses narrowing by 77.35% YoY). In 2Q26, revenue reached RMB239mn (+8.25% YoY, +2.71% QoQ), while the attributable NP was RMB2.69mn (+182.35% YoY, -76.11% QoQ). In 1H26, top-line expansion was primarily driven by rapid growth in document subscription revenue, while the YoY profit recovery was underpinned by a sustained narrowing in expense ratios. We think that as the AI transformation deepens, both the document subscription and government businesses are poised for accelerated growth, alongside a recovery in profitability. Maintain BUY.
AI+ upgrades continue; strategic roadmap expands TAM
Anchored by its "one horizontal platform, multiple vertical applications" strategy, the company is accelerating its AI upgrades. 1) Document business: In 1H26, the company rolled out Foxit PDF SDK (Web) Version 11.1, significantly boosting processing speeds for large, complex PDF files and catering to specialized use cases across publishing, manufacturing, and enterprise office environments. Meanwhile, it launched "Foxit TidaClaw", a trusted intelligent document automation platform, expediting client verification across financials, government affairs, and engineering construction. 2) Government solution: The company accelerated the rollout of its digital and intelligent government solutions in 1H26, securing total newly signed contracts of RMB87.0mn (+c.80% YoY). We remain positive on the company's long-term runway.
Earnings forecasts and valuation
We lower our 2026, 2027, and 2028 revenue forecasts to RMB1.26bn, RMB1.54bn, and RMB1.90bn (-3.14%, -4.36%, and -4.37% vs our previous estimates), while revising up our 2026, 2027 and 2028 attributable NP forecasts to RMB169mn, RMB235mn, and RMB295mn (+10.44%, +7.53%, and +6.87%), with EPS of RMB1.85, RMB2.57, and RMB3.23. The downward revenue revision mainly reflects downside risks to perpetual license revenue, while the upward earnings revision accounts for better-than-expected expense ratio optimization. Comparable companies trade at 7.3x 2026E PS on Wind consensus. Factoring in license revenue contraction, we assign 6.0x 2026E PS to derive our target price of RMB82.97 (previous target price: RMB110.77, based on 7.8x 2026E PS). Maintain BUY.
Risks: slower-than-expected expansion into new applications, intensifying market competition, volatility in associates' financial performance.
