BOCHU Electronic Technology has released its 1H26 results: revenue came in at RMB1,278mn, up by 15.84% YoY; and the attributable net profit at RMB787mn, up by 22.97% YoY. For 2Q26, revenue reached RMB730mn, up by 20.17% YoY/33.23% QoQ, with an attributable net profit of RMB471mn, up by 22.37% YoY/48.74% QoQ. Results remained on a solid growth trajectory. Maintain BUY on the company’s continued progress in high-power laser cutting and rapid expansion into new businesses such as intelligent welding and precision processing.
Revenue growth stays solid; second growth curve takes shape
Revenue maintained steady growth, driven by domestic demand for high-power thick-plate cutting, expanding overseas application scenarios, and the rollout of integrated software-hardware solutions. By segment, 1H26 revenue from flatbed/ tube/3D solutions reached RMB707/280/35mn, up by 4.39/18.33/2.94% YoY. Other businesses, including intelligent robotics and precision micromachining, generated RMB256mn, up by 64.75% YoY, emerging as the main profit growth driver. We expect Bochu to continue benefiting from rising domestic demand for high-power thick-plate cutting and broadening applications overseas, sustaining solid revenue growth.
Deeper software-hardware integration; profitability stays high
For 1H26, the gross margin for the main business came in at 73.93%, down by 4.90pp YoY, largely reflecting the faster rollout of integrated software-hardware solutions, which lifted the revenue share of smart hardware products such as cutting heads. Margins nonetheless remained high by industry standards. The attributable net margin reached 61.58%, up by 3.57pp YoY, with the recurring net margin at 55.83%. The selling/administrative/R&D/financial expense ratios stood at 4.49/5.58/10.37/-5.81%, shifting by -0.25/+0.04/-0.36/-4.93pp YoY. R&D spending stayed above 10% of revenue, underpinning Bochu’s technology innovation pipeline.
New businesses gain traction: intelligent welding and robotics
Bochu continues to consolidate its leadership in laser cutting, maintaining a dominant share in China’s medium- to high-power market. The integrated software-hardware sales model is driving a rising attach rate for high-power cutting heads. During the reporting period, Bochu launched a laser-flame hybrid cutting solution, overcoming process bottlenecks in ultra-thick plate fabrication. The intelligent robotics business made rapid breakthroughs: Bochu rebuilt its software, hardware, and underlying algorithms, improving fine-positioning efficiency by over 50%, and rolled out a mobile robotic welding solution, steadily penetrating new industries such as shipbuilding and construction machinery. Precision micromachining is also gaining customer traction. Bochu introduced laser grooving and cleaning solutions for solid-state batteries and a flexible perovskite laser scribing system, helping the new energy sector improve quality/efficiency. We think that Bochu’s deep technology platform and forward-looking positioning should allow its second and third growth curves—high-power cutting, intelligent welding, and precision processing—to continue driving rapid revenue expansion.
Earnings forecasts and valuation
