Demand in the global automotive market, especially in China and North America, was under pressure in 1H26. However, the company’s global cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement measures continued to deliver, improving profitability in overseas markets and maintaining strong net profit resilience. During the reporting period, the company secured new design wins with a total lifetime order value of c. RMB44.9bn, driven primarily by leading domestic brands and new EV makers. We are optimistic about the company’s smart driving business entering the mass production stage and the expansion into new business areas such as emerging intelligent agents and AIDCs, which could open up long-term growth space. In terms of smart driving, the company achieved mass production and delivery in 1H26, with design wins from domestic and global clients progressing. Earnings forecasts and valuation
Considering the ongoing effectiveness of global cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement measures, steady improvement in overseas profitability, and the scaling up of smart driving mass production and delivery, we maintain our 2026/2027/2028 revenue forecasts at RMB67,649/73,706/79,132mn, with our attributable NP forecasts at RMB1,831/2,139/2,324mn. In our SOTP model, we value its automotive electronics/safety/interior and other businesses at 27.3/29.3/24.5x 2026E PEs (lowering the premium for automotive electronics to 20% above its peers’ average on Wind consensus due to short-term pressure on revenue and gross margin, vs our previous 50% premium; keeping other businesses at par with their peers’ averages on Wind consensus), for our target price of RMB32.67 (previous: RMB38.98, based on 38.6/30.7/23.5x 2026E PE for automotive electronics/safety/interior and other businesses). We expect the company to continue benefiting from global automotive intelligence and Chinese OEMs' overseas expansion. Leveraging core capabilities in domain controllers, energy management, and system integration to extend into intelligent agents and AIDCs, the company is poised to cultivate new growth drivers. Maintain BUY.
Risks: global automotive demand or emerging business expansion falling short of our expectations.
